Power savings are made when the
platen reaches its operating temperature. Platens dissipate approximately 25% less current
when hot because the resistivity of both the copper coils and the platen increase with
heat thus lowering the current drawn. |
 |
Down time is greatly reduced
because of the reliability of the system, coils operate at only a few degrees higher
temperature than the platen itself thus ensuring a very long life for the coils |
 |
Scrap caused through uneven
temperatures is very greatly reduced due to a very good temperature profile throughout the
tool or platen. |
 |
Increased speed of moulding due
to quick recovery time. |
